Michael Jordan was the quintessential athlete to represent Wheaties, almost as if the concept of athletes-on-cereal-boxes was invented for him. His first appearance on the bright orange box came in 1988, just as his endorsement portfolio was beginning to expand with McDonald’s, Coke, Chevrolet, and many others. Sneaker watchers will note MJ’s kicks on the cover – Air Jordan 2 Low, his game sneaker for the first half of his NBA MVP and Defensive Player of the Year 1987-88 season. They’ll be back this spring, and you can add this historic MJ memorabilia now via eBay.
