Ever wonder how Air Jordan 6 was introduced to the masses? No Internet, no social media, no blogs, no leaked photos. Just a simple photo in the 1991 Air Jordan Flight Club calendar launched in late 1990. A close look at that photo of Michael Jordan modeling the Black/Infrared colorway shows a prototype version with a toe rand. MJ was a fan of a clean toe on his sneakers, so these never made it to shelves. MJ went on to capture his first NBA championship in this colorway, instantly making AJ6 one of the most important sneakers ever created. Stay tuned for more #MJMondays right here at Jordans Daily.
