Air Jordan 11 “Concord” – possibly the most famous sneaker ever created – released in November 1995, finally giving fans the chance to partake in the first hot sneaker release since Michael Jordan’s return the previous spring. Jordan himself debuted the Concords during Game 1 of the ’95 Eastern Conference second round against the Orlando Magic, likely triggering a “What are those?” moment for watchers around the world.

At that time, only Air Jordan 10 was in the marketplace and there was no “real time” Internet/social media as we know it today. The shoe unveil was truly a surprise.
