When Michael Jordan was laced up in Air Jordan 13 throughout the 1997-98 season, it’s a good bet that not many people were imagining the panther-inspired kicks with gold spikes on the bottom. Though Tinker Hatfield had played with the idea of using MJ’s signature shoes for other sports – Air Jordan 9 as a baseball cleat during MJ’s 1993-94 basketball retirement – the idea never went mainstream until recent years. Now it’s AJ13’s turn, combining the sleek lowtop version with Tri-Lok soft spikes perfect for the greens.

Nike.com is offering Early Access now for its members, so if that describes you, go check your access for the Chicago-style University Red here, and clean Pure Platinum style here.
