It takes great skill to design and produce a sneaker. Making a sneaker into bite-size fish and rice is a whole other level. That’s what artist and chef Yujia Hu has successfully pulled off, replicating some of the hottest sneakers of late like Air Jordan 1, adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2, and Nike Kyrie 2 as sushi. Each “shoe-shi” is painstakingly assembled to detail, including the right shade of fish, with seaweed touches, and even lines to further decorate the shoe. Even online art gallery HUM has gotten in on the feast, collaborating with Yujia Hu to create limited edition prints of the edible kicks.

Check out HUM’s exhibition here, and see more of Yujia Hu’s work on Instagram at theonigiriart.
