The Daily Jordan: Air Jordan 3 “Do The Right Thing”

Hard to believe eight years have passed since the Air Jordan 3 “Do the Right Thing” hit shelves. Jordan Brand put together a Brisk Blue/Pro Gold-Radiant Green colorway based on the movie poster of Spike Lee‘s 1989 film Do the Right Thing. Not only was the saturating blue a new twist on a Jordan retro, it was done in nubuck, also a new development for Air Jordan 3.

The DTRT 3 released on April 14, 2007 for $135 retail, a shoe that for some was as hype-worthy as the original colorway Fire Red 3 retro that hit a few weeks prior on March 24. Though it was a swift seller on release day, you can find deadstock pairs without much problem. Just be careful about wearing an eight year old sneaker, and you can probably expect the midsole paint to crack and chip, which happened to pairs that people barely wore just days and weeks after release.
