After looking at the turnaround in Clipper’s culture once Chris Paul took the helm at point guard, it’s easy to see why Chris Paul’s bid to become the new National Basketball Player’s Association President was an easy choice. Paul replaces Derrick Fisher’s seven year run as president and upon his selection by his peers Paul added, “It’s not about me. It’s not about the president or first vice president or any one person. It’s about the players as a whole, the body.” He would go on to later say, “I wouldn’t have took this role, this job on, if it was going to be me doing it alone. The other guys on the executive committee are just as important as I am.” NBA journeymen Roger Mason was selected as his Vice President. Stay tuned for more news on Chris Paul’s duties as the head of the NBPA and let us know what you think of their selection.
