Today it’s not uncommon that a player’s shoe will feature a colorway honoring their days playing in High School or even for a High School to get their own PE, but back in 2000 when the Air Jordan V “Laney” first released, it was one of the first shoes with a narrative giving a shout out to a player’s days still in school. With MJ, the whole Laney reference was heightened because of the tale of how he didn’t make the varsity squad one year. This Air Jordan V with a white upper and accents of royal and varsity maize will see a release this November.
