When Toni Kukoc was getting so thoroughly thrashed by Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics could he ever have predicted that way down the line he’d have his own customized set of sneakers from the likes of Mike? The grudge held against him could only last for so long, with Kukoc eventually making the move to the states and enjoying a long career in the NBA, anchored even by his time with the Chicago Bulls. Before his departure from the league in 2006 these two Air Jordan V samples were created, one of the ‘Metallic’ and the other ‘Fire Red’, both bearing Kukoc’s number 7 on the back.
