Like the Air Jordan IX, the Air Jordan X was manufactured while Michael Jordan was pursuing a professional baseball career during his retirement from basketball. This game issued pair of Air Jordan X’s was modified for baseball with the addition of a cleat where the outsole and midsole would be. The upper is constructed of rich, black leather and durabuck which are great materials that will hold up when running the bases. The concept of Air Jordan cleats continued long after Jordan returned to basketball as Andruw Jones, Deion Sanders and C.C. Sabathia are just some of the players that have worn them in game. This pair of cleats is a must have for the serious Jordan collector. Continue reading for additional images in the gallery below and head over to the auction from vivid.vintage on eBay.
