The UNC Tar Heels and the Cal Golden Bears hit the court over the past couple of days in the Air Jordan XX8 ‘Blue Camo’, a colorway that’s only been given out to Jordan brand athletes to date (Russell Westbrook being the only other guy we know of who has his hands on them). Remember ‘The Shot’ that made Michael Jordan such a star back in his NCAA days? The one that made the UNC Tar Heels NCAA Champions back in 1982? That championship was apparently such a cause for celebration that someone went ahead and produced some amount of ‘Carolina Blue’ soda to celebrate the UNC Tar Heels victory that year. The palette of white and university blue is one that’s of course been a part of the Jordan Brand look pretty much since the beginning thanks to Michael Jordan’s tenture at that same school.
