Just yesterday we had Fabolous show up in the Air Jordan XII ‘Obsidian’, and Ohio rapper Stalley seems to be answering back with his fit featuring the same sneaks on BET’s 106 & Park to show Fab that he isn’t the only one with exclusives. Well-known sneakerhead and host Terrence J made sure to lace up in something special for the occasion as well, donning the ‘Pop Art’ colorway of the Jordan Son of Mars. As a member of the Maybach Music Group is Stalley contractually obligated to stay laced in the finest of sneakers? No official word on whether or not that’s somewhere in his contract, but it sure seems like it given the on-feet history of his comrades Wale and Rick Ross. This time around he’s been spotted in the Air Jordan XII ‘Playoffs’ a bit ahead of their April release, flaunting the goods that come with a Jordan Brand connection. When people watch awards shows their reasons for watching vary. Some may want to see the host while others want to see the performances. In the case of the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards, everyone can come to an agreement that they are checking for the yearly cyphers. Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group had a cypher of their own and they impressed not only with their lyrics and their wordplay but their kick game as well. Noted sneakerhead Wale wore the Air Jordan V ‘Metallic’ while Meek Mill and Stalley wore the Air Jordan III ‘Black Cement’ and ‘Stealth’ respectively.
