Air Jordan V: Blue Suede Sample

In the world of sneakers, an original pair is considered to be a rare find but the sample which came before that pair is the rarer find. Yungdrseuss of YouTube, has one of the few Navy samples in existence and gives us a detailed look at it. The AJ Navy V sample is similar to ‘Wolf Grey’ that released recently with the navy blue upper and outsole being the only real difference. The sample has a New York Yankees-like vibe to it and with C.C. Sabathia being a Jordan Brand athlete, a PE cleat using this template would be nice. Check out additional images as well as the Youtube video after the jump and stick with Jordans Daily for more Jordan sample news. via Modern Notoriety.

Air Jordan IX: 1993 Production Sample

The is one of the Jordan models that isn’t held in as high regard as the others due to the fact that MJ never wore them on the court – despite what his statue outside of the United Center shows. This AJ IX sample is one of the rarest Jordan samples in existence, as it is a one-of-one with the other one being at the Nike archive warehouse. The outsole/midsole and lace eyelets are the only elements that made the final version, but after that this is a completely different sneaker with its own unique design concept. The upper consists of rich, white leather that has perforated triangles to allow the foot to breathe reminiscent of the Air Jordan XX3, a different tongue, and a higher heel cut.  Continue reading for additional, detailed images and let us know what you think about this piece of Jordan history. via hiphopcalibur of NT.

Air Jordan XI: Unreleased Orange/White Sample

The is probably one of the more conservative Jordan’s in terms of colorways released. After all, it was designed with intent to wear with a suit while remaining stylish. This unreleased sample gives us a look as to what the designers at Nike were cooking up in the kitchen, and although these never released, a similar came out in 2001 as a low top that had an all-white upper and orange, translucent sole, colloquially referred to as the Citrus colorway. The upper of this sample is what you would expect to find on an ; the patent leather, Jumpman logo and the Jordan tag across the tongue are all orange with a white leather and mesh upper. Check out additional images after the jump and let us know what you think about this unreleased sample. via Kenlu.

Air Jordan III: Black Out / Grey Cement Sample

Jordan fans have rejoiced this year after being repeatedly blessed with releases. These releases have spanned from OG classics like the White Cement’s and the True Blues (expected to hit retailers on June 4th) to brand new colorways like the Black History Month and the Stealth model slated for the fall. Here we see a glimpse of what could have been, an unreleased sample that lands somewhere between the Blackcat and Black Cement editions of the . This pair is dipped in black, save for the elephant print and the Jumpman logo on the back. Given the production date found on the tongue (2008), it’s unlikely that these will ever see a retail release, but luckily there are plenty of other offerings this year as far as the is concerned. Air Jordan X: One Piece Look-See Sample – Deer Skin

Air Jordan X: One Piece Look See Sample Deer Skin

In 2005, the was finally retroed in a number of new and old colorways but of the AJ Xs that didn’t release were these seamless samples. Nike explored using the seamless concept on classic models of which they did with the Nike Air Force 1. The seamless is certainly a subject for debate and has split Jordan enthusiasts into two camps; those who like them and those who hate them. Only ten pairs of the seamless were produced and they were made in five different colorways with the Mango colorway being one of them. The upper features deerskin construction with a matching midsole. This particular pair has experiences a bit of wear and tear but that doesn’t take away from it being one of the rarest pairs of Jordan’s ever. Check out the detailed images after the jump and the auction from 2legit2quit78 on eBay.

Air Jordan 2011: White University Blue Promo

It was recently confirmed that the April release of three colorways were delayed but have no fear they will be released in May. Here’s a peek at a pair that probably won’t hit retail. This comes in White/University Blue, has a white upper that features patent leather and a translucent sole to top it off. With the Air Jordan Fly Wade hitting stores soon, the could take a back seat to it but since Jordan Brand has come strong with other AJ 2011 colorways, there is always a possibility that we may see these down the line.
