This all new colorway was apparently spotted on the feet of previous Jordan Brand head honcho Gentry Humphrey while he was out at the Quai 54 International Streetball Tournament in Paris. Will it arrive minus the personalized touch as the Quai 54 retro release for this year? We can only hope so. Gentry Humphrey’s stash of Air Jordan samples is the stuff of legend at this point, and most of us will have to come to terms with the fact that we’ll never really know how deep the rabbit hole goes. We’ll settle for the occasional sneak peek though, like this photo that Humphrey blasted off on Twitter containing an alternate version of the Air Jordan IV ‘Laser’ in the white/red colorway. The sneaker sees the black bits stripped out for a more pure look in tune with the ‘History of Flight’ series we’ve seen so much of recently. With so may Air Jordan IV’s hitting this year could these possibly be making their way to retail soon? Gentry Humphrey recently stepped down as Jordan Brand’s Footwear Business Director and in the time he held the position, he was criticized heavily by sneakerheads for keeping many Air Jordan samples for himself. Today, we take a look at some Air Jordan XI samples that never made it to retail.
