Last night in New York City, Wale held the listening party for his highly anticipated sophomore album Ambition. In attendance were the who’s who in Hip Hop/Rap one of which happened to be Fabolous. Fabolous has proven to us time and time again that his kick game is serious and he proved it last night by wearing the Air Jordan IV ‘Thunder’. This colorway first released back in 2006 in a limited edition package that came with a jacket and retailed for $500. This past weekend, the 40th Annual New York Urban League Classic took place at Metlife Stadium between Morgan State and Howard. The Bears of Morgan State would pull out the victory over the Bison of Howard with a final score of 14-9. During the halftime show, Fabolous provided entertainment alongside the bands of each school. During his performance Fabolous wore the Air Jordan XIII Low in White/Navy-Orange which are the colors of Morgan State. Fabolous has recently become one of the more well known celebrity sneakerheads joining the ranks of Wale and Fat Joe. As a result of his celebrity status, Jordan Brand has hooked up with rare kicks like the Air Jordan V ‘Black Quai 54′ and they recently sent him a pair of the Air Jordan III ‘Black Flip’. At his concert at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort, Fabolous broke in his pair of the Air Jordan III ‘Black Flip’. He showed them off on Twitter a few hours prior to the performance so it was obvious that he’d debut them while on stage. The release date is currently unknown but these should be hitting the streets soon seeing that the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan III is almost over. Fabolous recently hit the land down under for the 2011 Winterbeatz Music Festival alongside 50 Cent, Mario and Lil Kim. Fabolous is back in the United States after spending the weekend in Paris where he was a performer at the Jordan Brand Quai 54 tournament. He was spotted in Los Angeles where he is currently working on his new album Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power which is due for a September release. Hot 97′s annual Summer Jam concert recently took place at the New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ and the celebrities as well as Jordans were out in full force. The Air Jordan VII ‘YOTR’ stole the show backstage as Justin Combs brought them out for the show of which his father Diddy performed at. Fab attended the Fuse Rocks the Classroom event in NYC this week to impart some insider wisdom on the music industry to the young kids of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. For this event Loso brought out the Air Jordan VII Year of the Rabbit Edition, a shoe that was quickly snatched up nationwide this last weekend. The unique packaging for this retro as well as the Hare-like colorway made it an instant success.
