Plenty of exciting matchups went down over the weekend in the NBA, and with that came exciting footwear selections from the Jordan Brand camp. As far as new silhouettes hitting the court, Dwyane Wade laced up in the Jordan Fly Wade Flight PO for the Heat/Pistons showdown, showing off the upcoming model with a 24 point performance. Also notable, DeJuane Blair pulling a Monta Ellis style switcheroo and rocking both the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ and the Air Jordan IV ‘White/Cement’ in the same game. The Miami Heat have only been around since 1988, but since then they have become one of the few franchises in NBA history to win a championship and are currently positioned to win more with Dwyane Wade leading them. Throughout their history, the Heat have also represented on court with some classic Nike Basketball and Air Jordan sneakers. If you tuned into the USC/Oregon game on ABC this past Saturday, you probably saw Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade among others on the sideline. They were in Oregon where they participated in the Nike Pro Training Camp that was designed to keep them in shape during the lockout. At the workout, each player wore their new signature shoes. In addition to that, all three players announced that they would be leading a tour along with LeBron James that will take place in four cities starting in December. With the NBA lockout currently looming and the entire month of November having its games canceled, who knows when we will see professional basketball again. Jordan Brand launched an ad that aired during last night’s Monday Night Football game that shows basketball never stops.
