Air Jordan 12 Cleats: Hakeem Nicks New York Giants PE

February 10th, 2014 By

When Jordan Brand first grew beyond the sport of basketball, it took some people some time to catch up – after all it was sort of strange to see the Jumpman logo on the gridiron or baseball field since it’s so synonymous with the basketball court. While the brand is now no stranger to lacing up its athletes with official cleat PEs (look no further than Earl Thomas and his Air Jordan 6 PEs for the Super Bowl) today we get a look at a pair of Air Jordan 12 cleats made for the New York Giants’ wideout Hakeem Nicks. Complete with totally new materials, the shoe features a grey upper while a vibrant red makes its way to the mudguard and accents of royal blue stand in for the lace locks. Be sure to view more images of this rare Air Jordan 12 PE cleat set for Hakeem Nicks by sticking with us after the click and know that you can grab them today via amazing-flavor on eBay.

Drake’s OVO Air Jordan PEs

January 27th, 2014 By

While the Grammy’s weren’t as kind to Drake’s latest Nothing Was The Same as much as the award ceremony has been in the past, at least he has Jordan Brand in his corner to float him exclusive pairs featuring his signature gold accents that OVO is known for. During the ceremony Jordan Brand gave us a preview of some official images of the Air Jordan 10 and Air Jordan 12 that have been floating around featuring a premium scheme that sees a monochromatic upper in either white and black while a translucent sole features the OVO logo and a stingray leather is prevalent on the asymmetrical mudguards of each shoe. Are you hoping for a retail release of this shoe? Hit the gallery for a better view and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Jay-Z Poses as Andy Warhol in Air Jordan 12 “Taxi”

January 22nd, 2014 By

“I’m the new Jean-Michel, surrounded by Warhol, my whole team ball.”

People familiar with Jay-Z as a rapper know his current affinity for dropping art references (the man has a Picasso painting in his bathroom, mind you). And while his need to collect paintings might seem a little aristocratic to the hip-hop landscape, it’s always cool to see Hov push the boundaries of content within his lyrics and style outside of his songs. Jay-Z recently posed for a photo at the Andy Warhol museum mimicking the famous pop-artist while wearing a pair of the Air Jordan 12 “Taxi”. Hit the click to get a full view of Jay’s shoe selection while taking in some works of art and let us know what you think of his choice of footwear in the comments.

NCAA Jordans on Court: Around the Nation – 1/09 – 1/15

January 16th, 2014 By

It’s safe to say that as the NCAA season progresses, inter-conference battles bring out the best in both competition and on-court sneaker selections. With an ever-growing crop of younger players considering themselves sneakerheads, this season of collegiate hoops has already brought out a bevy of retro selections, but surprisingly North Carolina has stayed course and laced up only new signature Jordan models like Chris Paul’s Jordan CP3.VII and the Jordan Super.Fly 2. Meanwhile, a pair of Razorbacks sported some covetable Air Jordan IVs with that “Toro” and “Fire Red” look while Arizona State’s squad surprised with an Air Jordan IX “Olive” sighting. As always, stick with us after the click to get a full rundown of all the collegiate NCAA Jordans on Court selections from the past week and let us know which pair was your favorite in the comments.

Drake Gives Air Jordan 12 “OVO” PEs to Amir Johnson

January 13th, 2014 By

Over the weekend the Toronto Raptors linked up with their Global Ambassador (one known as Aubrey Graham) to celebrate the promotional Drake Night and it was rather successful. Not only did the Raptors see a full turnout in attendance, but they also defeated the Brooklyn Nets to keep their place atop the Atlantic Division. Amir Johnson has sported a number of enticing Jordan retros throughout the season, and Drake obviously took notice enough to gift the Center who he also announced as “a close friend of his” during opening intros with the brand new Air Jordan 12 “OVO” PEs in both black and white. The shoes feature a clean monochromatic color scheme of either white or black while premium gold accents hit each sneaker and “OVO” branding hits the sole. Stick with us after the click for a full view at these exclusives and let us know if you’d rock a Jordan Brand x OVO collaboration in the comments.
