Vintage Gear: Authentic Michael Jordan 1992 NBA All-Star Game Uniform Set

February 7th, 2014 By

Vintage Gear: Authentic Michael Jordan 1992 NBA All Star Game Uniform Set

So maybe the 1992 NBA All-Star game wasn’t Mike’s best game – he finished with 18 point as the Eastern Conference was absolutely obliterated by their Western rivals in a 153-113 route that saw the West run out to a big lead thanks to their 44 point first quarter- but where does MJ’s shoe selection of the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” rank among his All-Star game sneakers? Today’s vintage gear is an authentic Champion uniform set complete with Michael Jordan’s jersey (not to be mistaken for the actual set he wore in the game, though) that looks brand new. The real rarity in this two piece set has to be the shorts, and while they’re the definition of short, the gradient stars on the side of the shorts isn’t something you see everyday. Be sure to check out this uniform set in pristine condition and match them with your very own pair of Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” by grabbing this rare find today via topkuya on eBay.

Chris Paul Talks with Kendrick Lamar for ESPN The Magazines Music Issue

Earlier in the week we got a preview of the brand new edition of ESPN the Magazine’s Music issue, featuring Chris Paul and Kendrick Lamar on the cover, and today we get a glimpse into the shoot that took place, while both Los Angeles based stars sat down to chat music, aspirations for the city of LA and more in a brief interview with ESPN’s Stevland Wilson. And even though Kendrick admitted to his Laker loyalty in front of the Clippers All-Star, the two definitely shared a passion for hip-hop and basketball (K.Dot still believes he can hoop whereas CP3 was a little more honest about his skills or lack there of as an emcee). Vintage Gear: Jordan Two3 Relay Mocassin

The Air Jordan VII is one of the most beloved in the Jordan Retro catalogue, and that’s definitely a feat in itself when you take into account the work that had to be put in after preceding shoes were deemed classics in their own right. Today’s vintage gear is an oddity to say the least as it continues the strange legend of the Jordan Two3 collection – a series of outerwear and footwear geared towards an adult clientele for casual wear. While clogs and even an all leather one-piece ”flight suit” have surfaced, today we see a shoe that actually references the shoe line that made the Jumpman so famous in the form of this Air Jordan VII inspired mocassin known as the Jordan TWO3 Relay. Featuring a low cut construction  the almost Huarache like slip on features a the sole of the Air Jordan 7. What do you think of this casual Jordan sneaker? Hit the click to get a better view of this rare Jordan TWO3 Relay moccasin and if you’re truly feeling this pair know that you can grab it today via super23freak on eBay.

Jordan Brand Athlete Chris Paul Covers ESPN’s The Music Issue

Jordan Brand Athlete Chris Paul Covers ESPNs The Music Issue

Sports and the entertainment world have become somewhat synonymous, from NBA players wanting to be rappers and vice versa, stars sitting courtside at games and friendships turning into business deals (look no further than Jay-Z ditching his share in the Brooklyn Nets to manage Kevin Durant off the court). ESPN is definitely somewhat to blame for this recent phenomena thanks to a 24 hour news cycle that links the two professions. Jordan Athlete Chris Paul recently covered the magazine as part of their annual Music Issue and it’s fitting that the Los Angeles Clippers guard would be alongside Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar. He even got outfitted in a casual ensamble capped by the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” pair while Kendrick ditched his Cortez connection for a pair of Tims. While the issue hasn’t hit shelves just yet, stay tuned for more info and the countdown until Chris Paul returns from injury is only a few weeks away.

Air Jordan 4: Bordeaux by Dank Customs

One of the most beloved colorways in Jordan Brand history has to be the Air Jordan VII “Bordeaux”. The shoe that originally made its debut for the 1992 Olympics when MJ wore it off court recently made its way to a lot of people’s favorite silhouette in the Air Jordan IV thanks to the crazy mind of Dank Customs. Hitting the mudguard with a soft grey suede, the upper alternates between black and grey while the tongue gets a maroon treatment with an awesome custom tongue patch to mimic the original print on the Air Jordan 7. Hit the gallery for more images and let us know what you think in the comments.
