Posed to have a huge 23rd anniversary next year for JB, the Air Jordan VI “White/Infrared” will start things off for MJ’s first championship shoe. As for Freehand Profit, we’re sure he can’t wait to get his hands on a few pairs to transform into one of his patented gas masks, but for now the man famous for his retooling of our favorite sneakers chose the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” to transform into the protective hazard gear. Air Jordan VI: “Infrared” – OG 1991 Pair Available on eBay

September 12th, 2013 By

The Air Jordan VI ‘White/Infrared” will make its way back to store shelves to start off 2014, but today our eyes get to feast on this OG 1991 pair of the Air Jordan VI “Infrared”. This shoe hits home with many Jordan collectors because it was the sneaker that carried MJ to the promised land as he won his first ring against Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers. The shoe features that patented 3M material on the air max unit, a feature that JB has abandoned in recent releases of the model (can we bring this back, please?) while Nike Air branding hits the back heel in lieu of today’s standard Jumpman. Check out all of the images of this original release in pristine condition in the gallery and pick up this rare piece from jordanvault on eBay.

“Reverse Infrared” Air Jordan VI: Unreleased Sample

June 20th, 2013 By

When the Air Jordan VI ‘Infrared’ rereleased in 2000, it still featured the Nike Air logo on the back heel, but it almost didn’t come out that as evidenced by this unreleased sample. The boys in Beaverton toyed with the idea of making the Nike branding a little more obvious on the sneaker that Jordan won his first title in, stitching it in a matching Infrared. While sample versions are incredibly difficult to come by, you can see more images of the Air Jordan VI ‘Reverse Infrared’ after the jump and bid on it now from eustoliaalvarez on eBay.

Air Jordan VI Crib: “Infrared” – OG Tin Packaging

This pair, “crib” version of the Air Jordan VI “Infrared”, come packaged in a tough tin instead of your standard shoebox. Also of note is the model designation on the box, which calls them the “Jordan ’91” rather than call them out by a particular number.
