Nikestore Planning Air Jordan Retro Restock for Spring 2014

This weekend was a bit confusing in regards to Nikestore. While they tweeted out a cryptic message about a surprise at 10AM EST following the busy releases of two Air Jordan 11 Lows and a “Yeezy” Foamposite Pro, apparently there was literally more in store. But due to slow processing of orders on the site the Air Jordan restock for Spring 2014 was then postponed, and yet the shoes still popped up anyways. While nobody was able to add them to cart, the mistake showcased exactly which sneakers we’ll be able to grab in the future (though a restock date is still unannounced) and excitement is definitely warranted. A number of OG colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG are returning, the Air Jordan 3 Retro 88, a number of Air Jordan 5 colorways from last year, the “Bred” Air Jordan 11s and more. Get with us after the click for a full rundown on all of the upcoming restocks.

Hulk Hogan Shows Off More of His Air Jordan Collection

Hulk Hogan Shows Off More of His Air Jordan Collection

Celebrities live in a weird world where unimaginable pairings and connections happen that nobody would ever think would fit together – for example Hulk Hogan got the Jordan Brand connect from Fat Joe. It looks like Hulk Hogan’s affinity for the Jumpman is only growing too as he took to Twitter to look for which pair he should wear for the day. What were his options? A solid grouping of the Air Jordan V “Fire Red”, Air Jordan VIII “Playoffs”, Air Jordan V “Grape”, but it was the Air Jordan XIII “He Got Game” that ended up on the Hulkster’s feet. It was a reasonable decision considering Hulk Hogan could be the Jesus Shuttlesworth of professional wrestling. Hit the gallery for a better look and let us know what you think of his selection.

Air Jordan V: “Fire Red” – Release Reminder

Air Jordan V: Fire Red Release Reminder

The Air Jordan V “Fire Red” will release this Saturday, August 31st. The last in a three shoe run that saw Tinker Hatfield’s first three Air Jordans hit with an alternate Chicago theme known as ‘Fire Red’ the shoe ditched its normal 3M silver tongue in lieu of a black look that only made the fire red midsole pop more. The Air Jordan V is getting a lot of love from JB this year, so why not start with this classic OG colorway to get things started? With great features like the ’23′ on the heel and a simply subtle yet timeless white upper, this shoe will be hard to pass up for anybody. As always, head to the gallery to get a better look at this weekend’s Air Jordan V release which you can pick up at select retailers like Oneness and if you can’t wait until tomorrow see if you can pick them up early on eBay.

Air Jordan V: “Fire Red” – Official Image

Air Jordan V: Fire Red Official Image

The Air Jordan V “Fire Red” holds a special place in the Jordan timeline as it was the last of Tinker Hatfield’s first three models to continue the ‘Fire Red’ tradition following the Air Jordan III and IV. Each shoe stood out from the other original colorways for the signature red hue hitting the midsole, but while other Air Jordan Vs used a reflective 3M material on the tongue, this release opted instead for black to truly match the Bulls’ uniforms. While the shoe is only days away from releasing, Jordan Brand has leaked the official image of the sought after sneaker and you can check the picture out in its full glory in the gallery while letting us know if you’ll be picking up this OG Retro release in the comments.

Air Jordan V: “Fire Red” – Arriving at Retailers

Air Jordan V: Fire Red Arriving at Retailers

After the Air Jordan III “Fire Red” released to a crowd anxious for its all red midsole and black elephant print, you can only imagine what’s in store for this Saturday, August 31st when the Air Jordan V “Fire Red” hits store shelves. While one of the main features of the Air Jordan V has been the patented 3M tongue, this release threw that feature out the window to give a classic Chicago Bulls colorway even more precedence by hitting the tongue with black so the fire red accents could truly shine on the white upper. You can head to the gallery to get a better look at the upcoming Air Jordan V “Fire Red” and pick them up this weekend at retailers like Nohble.

Sneaker News Select: Air Jordan V: Fire Red The Original Raging Bulls

The Air Jordan V “Fire Red” will be releasing at the end of this month on Saturday, August 31st, and to many it was the climax of a three year run that had Tinker Hatfield and Jordan Brand make some of the most classic signatures in his first three tries. Of the Air Jordan III, IV and V all shared the common theme of releasing in a predominantly white home version, a black away, a lifestyle model (whether it was true blue, military blue, or Grape) and then there was the eye-catching ‘Fire Red’ installment that was seen across all three models. At the time it was considered revolutionary to paint a shoe’s midsole bright red and Sneaker News dug a little deeper to go into the shoe’s storied history. You can catch some of the images from the feature in the gallery and head over to Sneaker News for the full Select piece.

Kevin Durant Wears Air Jordan V Fire Red

Russell Westbrook isn’t the only visible Air Jordan fan on the Thunder after Kevin Durant hung out with former teammate James Harden while wearing the upcoming Air Jordan V “Fire Red”. While KD might arguably have the best signature among active players, there’s no denying the need to wear a fresh pair of Air Jordans every once in a while, especially considering the last time we saw Durant lace up a pair was back in September wearing the Air Jordan 1 Phat.
