The Air Jordan V “Black Grape” isn’t the non-OG colorway looking to hit for that sneaker in 2013. It appears that the Air Jordan V “CP3″ is also on its way. The colorway is a very “Clippers” combination what with the red, white, and blue, and the Chris Paul connection of course comes in via the “3″ embroidery on the back half. While the Air Jordan XX8 has been a little bit quiet on the retail front as of late, the sneaker is still getting plenty of mileage from the professional set over in the NBA. While we still haven’t had a chance at the Jordan CP3.VI AE on retail shelves, we’re already aware of a good six colorways on the way for the Chris Paul sneaker. Thanks to this new set of shots we’ve also caught wind of a seventh, one that’s not on the release schedule for the foreseeable future. The sneaker is a clean mixture of silver and white, one that wouldn’t have felt too out of place if it dropped during last weekend’s extended Easter releases. Was it unofficial Air Jordan XIII week in the NBA? It sort of seems that way, as guy like Monta Ellis, Ray Allen, and Nate Robinson all brought out the sneaker during games that went down in the past four or five days. Chris Paul’s signature series with Jordan Brand isn’t going anywhere-a statement proved by the arrival of the very first preview pictures for the Jordan CP3.VII. The sneaker ditches the triangle look that’s shown up for the upper of his last couple silhouettes in favor of something a bit more fluid, with the design on these pairs anchored by a few sweeping perforated sections. It looks like the public might finally get the chance at a Chris Paul flavored retro in the form of the Air Jordan V “CP3″. The sneaker, pictured here, picks up a clean red and blue colorway with an obvious Los Angeles Clippers connection. What’s more they come with a simple “3″ embroidered on the back end instead of the “23″, another nod to the athlete also known as CP3.
