The Knicks’ win streak was at finally snapped last night by the likes of the Chicago Bulls. And even though they picked up the L, it was still an incredible night for Carmelo Anthony, who picked up a hefty 36 points and 19 rebounds. Perhaps partly as a result of the MVP-like play he’s been displaying this season, Carmelo Anthony has been given another sneaker in the Jordan Brand lineup: the Jordan B’Mo. Of course there aren’t any official Melo callouts, but the titular reference to Baltimore makes it clear that there is indeed a connection. So Carmelo Anthony did go ahead and stuck with the Jordan Melo M8 Advance while on his win streak. And while he had a monstruous game last night it just wasn’t enough, as he and the Knicks eventually fell to Chicago in overtime. With all the unreleased looks we’ve seen as of late, it’s hard not to get the feeling that the best of the Jordan Melo M9 colorways were scrapped. Granted there’s still plenty to come for the sneaker, as we’ve yet to see the post-season plans and we’re all still eagerly awaiting the collabo Dave White pair. It seems like the Jordan Melo M9 was almost one of the many pairs to jump in on the “Grape” look for 2013. This unreleased sample shows off a look very much in line with the “Black Grape” version of the AJV that’s right around the corner. Unfortunately it appears that they won’t be making it to retail for the time being. Right around the time that the Air Jordan 1 “Knicks” was headed to stores, there was some accompanying gear floating around featuring that same headbanded apple logo from the insole of the sneakers. Was it unofficial Air Jordan XIII week in the NBA? It sort of seems that way, as guy like Monta Ellis, Ray Allen, and Nate Robinson all brought out the sneaker during games that went down in the past four or five days.
