Jennifer Lopez rocked the Air Jordan 1 Phat while in Brazil last week and there’s probably a chance we’ll see her wear them again soon. April 2012 has two new colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Phat with one being more female friendly than the other. The Anthracite/Club Purple-Spark edition features a Club Purple that is accented by an Anthracite toe box and side panel. The other Phat we’ll see in April is similar to the ‘Armed Forces’ pair we saw release a few years ago. Earlier today, we showed you the Jordan Fly Wade 2 that will release in the colors of Marquette University and now we have a look at a true Golden Eagle PE. Dwyane Wade’s alma mater had a series of Jordan Fly Wade’s made for them in a colorway of White/Varsity Maize-Midnight Navy. This particular Fly Wade features the basketball team’s logo on the tongue unlike the Fly Wade 2 that is scheduled to drop in March. This past weekend, the Air Jordan 2012 released and one way that Jordan Brand commemorated the drop was through their Air Jordan 2012 Flight Lab. The Flight Lab allowed visitors to experience what went into the Air Jordan 2012 in terms of design, function, and performance; a walk through gave everyone an opportunity to analyze the flight systems and later, a wear-test of the 2012 allowed for a first-hand experience of the new Air Jordan. At the Flight Lab were Jordan Brand athletes Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony, all of whom interacted with the visitors and answered questions from hosts Jadakiss and DJ Khaled. Jordan Brand released a series of Air Jordan VII retros in 2006 that featured colorways new to the line. Of the three new Air Jordan VIIs that dropped at retail were the Pearl White/Bright Ceramic-Pacific Blue edition which released on April 16, 2006 and retailed at the price of $135. This AJ VII was designed for Summer wear hence the light colors and release date. For those currently looking for a pair on the resale market, this edition of the VII goes anywhere from $125 to $275. This past weekend saw the official release of the Air Jordan 2012 and as we now learn, all wasn’t as planned for the 2012s final version. The original Air Jordan 2012 featured a Max Air unit in addition to the design we see today for a completely different shoe, but as we discovered with the final version, the visible Max Air was spurned for the Fly Around, Through, and Over combinational system. Dwyane Wade led the Marquette Golden Eagles to the Final Four in 2003 where they were defeated by the Kansas Jayhawks, a result that would not allow for a much-anticipated showdown with Carmelo Anthony and the Syracuse Orangemen. The two today are both on Jordan Brand and like Anthony, Wade will release a colorway from his signature line that pays homage to his alma mater. The Jordan Fly Wade 2 ‘Marquette’ features a color palette of University Gold/Obsidian-White and while Buzz Williams’ Marquette team has worn the Jordan Fly Wade 2 iD this season, we can expect to see them wear these in the Big East and NCAA Tournaments. After the release of the Air Jordan 2012 ‘Year of the Dragon’ this past weekend, it appears that it won’t be the only dragon that we see this year. This new  Air Jordan 2012 in Black/White features an pressed-leather graphic of a dragon on the shoe’s medial side with the tail encircling a Chinese character, likely signifying the 2012 Zodiac.
