Most of Jordan Brand’s hybrid sneakers serve as a greatest hits of classic Air Jordans, and the Son of Mars is no exception. This midcut sneaker combines the best elements of the Air Jordans released during the Mars Blackmon era of 1988 to 1991. And “Fire Red” is up next.

Elephant print from Air Jordan 3, mesh from Air Jordan 4, tongue and sole from Air Jordan 5, collar and heel tab from Air Jordan 6 – with a touch of the anniversary Air Jordan 20 in the midfoot strap – combine for perhaps the best mashup Jumpman brand has ever done. The colorway is a take off of the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red,” an original colorway from 1990, with the simple and clean red/black blocking that does Michael Jordan proud.

Find the official photos of the Jordan Son of Mars “Fire Red” below. Release date is set for February 1st at $180.
