If 2015’s sneaker releases taught us anything, it’s that there’s a market for $400 Air Jordan 1s. The Pinnacle lineup was more than well-received in limited releases with top shelf leathers and croc skin finishes, continuing Jordan Brand’s trek up the mountain of retro sneaker exclusivity. But the Jumpman brass doesn’t seem ready to milk the idea. Instead, they’re circling back with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High EP, a premium take with much of the same classy fit and finish for the standard retro retail of $160. The all-leather approach is present, along with a new slotted perforation layout that changes up the AJ1 aesthetics a bit and should provide more breeze. White and black-based colorways are slated for this Saturday. Find detailed photos of each below and share your thoughts on the idea in the comments.
