A brief scan of fan comments on Instagram reveals that sentiment about the upcoming Air Jordan 11 Space Jam seems split. About half appreciate the return to the original look Michael Jordan wore – higher patent leather, 45 on the heel, purple touches – while half are denouncing that look. It’s fake and weird, they say. Not at all like the Jams with the revised shape, slimmer cuts of patent, and blue accents that released in 2000 and 2009. Anecdotal though it may be, the loudest fan voices on Jordan retros in recent years have argued for a return to the shoes as they first released. Bring back the right midsole color on Bordeaux 7s, release Maroon 6s, put Nike Air back on the heels where it belongs. Jordan Brand, through the retro remaster process, made these wishes come true, with more in the works – Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic is back to its 1990 styling on July 23rd. Where do you stand on the issue? Should Jordan Brand relent by releasing modified retros as they’ve done the last 15 years, or keep steering the sneakers and their fans to these more accurate takes?

I like everything about this holidays space jam release accept for the higher cut patent leather and I'm someone who was just 17 or 18 in 1996 when the originals were released I actually had the OG Concords and playoffs but I thought that in recent years the adjustment in the height of the patent leather was a good thing but I like that the jumpman on the left shoe is back to facing the same way as the one on the right shoe and I love that it's back to concord accents on the jumpman and bottom of the shoe rather than the blue always hated blue on an air Jordan don't know why just do so I have mixed feelings about this retro release but will cop anyways hell everyone will b copping this shoe
