After a back-and-forth slam dunk war and win over Dominique Wilkins at the 1988 NBA All-Star Saturday night, how did Michael Jordan turn in an MVP performance for the All-Star Game the next day? What can we say – it’s MJ. Chicago’s favorite son hung 40 points on the West All-Stars, rounded out with eight rebounds, three assists, four steals, and four blocks en route to a 138-133 East win. As if the game couldn’t be any more historic, MJ debuted Air Jordan 3 “Black/Cement” to light up the scoreboard. Watch MJ’s highlights from the ’88 ASG below and stay tuned for more #MJMondays.
