As the Rio 2016 Olympics come into focus, Jordan Brand has something of a throwback planned in honor. The Air Jordan 7 “Olympic” is an obvious choice, made iconic by Michael Jordan during the 1992 Dream Team’s undefeated run in Barcelona. Jordan Brand isn’t going that route again. Instead, they’ve reimagined the concept. It’s unclear whether or not the design – blocked with large doses of navy blue, red, and new American flag graphics – is the look originally intended for the ’92 shoe (think Pre-Grapes). But the final product looks no less patriotic. Stay tuned for more developments on this AJ7 as we get closer to release day, currently slated for August 16th.
