All is still quiet on the Jordan Spike Forty sneaker release front; no official press with backstory details nor info on any flood of upcoming colorways. So far we have Spike Lee wearing the shoe and some select Spike 40 apparel. And a steadily increasing number of Spike 40 photos like these Finish Line product shots.

Though Spike Lee enjoyed the Spiz’ike, which has been around since 2006, it was never an official signature like this one. No assemblage of Jordans past, the Spike 40 relies on a touch of old school Air Jordan flavor and a lot on minimalism like its Westbrook 0 and Jasmine counterparts.

Is there a new casual trend building within the Jordan Brand footwear ranks? Coach K always said a group within a group breeds dissension. Then again, he was talking about the dynamics of a basketball team and not Jordan Brand expanding casual kicks options.

Peep the angles below and stay tuned for official release details.
