Vintage Gear: Michael Jordan Hanes Phone Card – 1995

If you needed 20 minutes of talk time in the mid ’90s and were a Michael Jordan fan, Hanes had you. As this PhonePass calling card from 1995 states, just follow the instructions on the flip side and you could call long distance with “tremendous savings.” We’re not sure how MJ’s name and photo enhance the effectiveness of this card. Must’ve added some coolness factor when you busted it out in front of someone and started dialing your landline. Ah, just one gem in the treasure trove that is eBay.
