Jordan Jumpman Team FBI hit in 2003 as a sort of alternate take on the flagship Air Jordan XVIII. The prominent midsole that wrapped up the heel and the seamless upper were the obvious design intersections, but instead of the elder’s lace shroud the FBI took on a stretch band to cinch the midfoot (it fits basically like the XVI‘s gaiter does, with a recession in the tooling so you stay strapped up and not tripped up). Michael Jordan even got some run in with the Team FBI during the second half of the 2003 season. And if it’s good enough for Mike, well, you know the rest. Jordan Brand hasn’t yet put the FBI through the retro process, but at the right price point these could definitely be an option for current ballers who just want to get the job done. Check out the current selection of original pairs on eBay and we’ll have more Daily Jordan tomorrow.
