Since Carmelo Anthony is a New York Knick, his Jordan Melo M11‘s home base is by default the Big Apple. That’s also where fashion brand Public School is based, so who better to craft a limited edition of the M11?

The details are many. First, the bright yellow, blue and brown exterior takes you into the city’s lifeblood of public transit and its fare-based MTA MetroCard, which also sports the same colors. Next, hole-punched triangles congregate on the sides as block lettered “NYC” initials, provide an overt shout to the city and Melo’s Brooklyn roots. The speckled outsole brilliantly replicates the gritty, pockmarked subway platforms throughout the city. From there, the insoles bring you to 34th Street station.
