Sneaker culture has infiltrated the fashion world for quite some time now (just look at Russell Westbrook’s partnering with Barneys for an original, luxurious take on some Jordan Brand apparel) but its widespread usage continues to grow. At this year’s New York Fashion Week, designer Alexander Wang debuted a new Spring/Summer 2015 collection that nodded at a number of Nike inovations over the years, from a bag with air max tooling and a sneaker outsole to a model hitting the runway clad in elephant print. While we’re sad that the Air Jordan 3 will be going back into the vault for the foreseeable future, its lingering influence continues to arrive beyond Jordan models, and that’s a noteworthy development fans of the brand can be proud of. Hit the click for more images of Alexander Wang’s Spring 2015 sneaker-inspired collection.
