It’s hard to believe that Jordan Brand came to fruition as recently as 1997, as it was given its own stand alone subsidiary of the Swoosh after Mike put in over a decade with the brand and his sneakers proved to be unlike any other signature like the wold had ever seen. Fast forward to today and the Jumpman has reached global empire status, expanding its reach to cover nearly every sport with its own signature athletes from Derek Jeter in baseball, to upcoming stars like Dez Bryant in football. The retros are some of the most coveted sneakers out, the current footwear line continues to use the most advanced technology out, and Michael Jordan still holds the title of the best basketball player (and arguably the most recognizable athlete) of all time. Nike Inc recently posed a brand new Inside Access piece about the history of Jordan Brand and where it could be headed in the future. It’s definitely worth a read so head over to Nike for a read and stay tuned for more Jumpman news right here on Jordans Daily.
