The customization of sneakers is at an all time high, but looking back at 2012, it’s hard to argue that this Air Jordan 1 “Brooklyn Zoo” custom by PMK Customs helped in the growth of the community. This particular Air Jordan 1 could’ve started all of those exotic skin retro trends based on the ridiculous amount of exotic leather that went into this shoe. There was the alligator skin, crocodile, elephant, stingray, ostrich, and python among others (a total of 8 premium leathers were used in the creation of this custom). Adding to the legacy of this 10 shoe run was the fact that Jay-Z wore a pair after grabbing them at LeBron’s UNKNWN sneaker shop down in Miami. With black and grey alternating on the upper, red hits the ankle support and Swoosh branding. What do you think? Hit the click for more images and pick up the rare find via jonallon80 on eBay.
