The Air Jordan 1 Retro ’99 “Black Toe” will arrive at retailers on July 9th, 2014. The sneaker utilizes the normal thought process behind a hybrid – use the Air Jordan 1 as a canvas while whatever retro is currently slated to release at retailers helps transition the silhouette into an entirely new model. The Air Jordan 1 ’99 is an interesting shoe due to the history behind it, as it pairs together Mike’s first and last signatures worn in a Chicago Bulls uniform. The “Black Toe” pair takes the classic Air Jordan 14 colorway and has the white side panels mimic the silhouette with added perforations while black contrasts on the toe and tongue.
