The way basketball models have been going as of late – we’re talking about the Air Jordan XX8 and even the Nike Kobe 9 Elite – seeing a boxer turn to a basketball brand for help in designing a boxing shoe doesn’t seem so far fetched. Jordan Brand athlete Andre Ward recently showcased his latest sneaker, and it definitely looks familiar if you’re a fan of the Air Jordan 5. The heel features the same stitching as Mike’s fifth signature silhouette, while the side mesh ventilation is relocated to the padded ankle collar. The sneaker gets a vibrant orange and black look which is sure to display on a television screen to turn heads for the brand. Longtime fan (and current NBA MVP) Kevin Durant recently received an autographed pair of gloves and the pair. What do you think?
