Nike SB and Jordan Brand are currently in the middle of a historic collaboration that pairs the two branches of the Swoosh together for the first time, well at least officially. Air Jordans and skateboarding go back to the 1980s when thrifty skaters were aware of the discount bin tendencies of the first Air Jordan silhouette (we know, crazy that a signature Jordan would end up below retail) and they found that they skated just as well in these pairs as they did in another basketball sneaker at the time – Dunks. Today we get a look at the all black pair, one that utilizes both the Air Jordan 1 “Royal” and Air Jordan 1 Bred” with a black paint overlay that wears off with time (that is, if you’re truly skating in them). Get the full on-foot recap after the click and know that each pair is set to release early next month so stay tuned to our Release Dates page for full updates.
