The Air Jordan 9 marks an interesting time in Jordan Brand’s history because it had the brand scrambling to put out a signature shoe for a player that wouldn’t be wearing them. Instead, Mike had hung up his sneakers in lieu of some cleats for his infamous switch to baseball. In honor of the occasion, Jordan Brand will be releasing the Air Jordan 9 “Barons”, a shoe that pays homage to Mike’s time in the minor leagues. With an almost “Shadow”-like colorway, the shoe gets a white base while wolf grey and black accents do the rest of the work. The inner lining gets treated to a pinstripe pattern to nod at the White-Sox affiliated AA squad. Be sure to grab another look at this “Birmingham Barons” Air Jordan 9 pair after the click, and while this pair will be available next weekend at select retailers like Nohble, know that you can grab them today via eBay.
