The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 holds a particular significance to an older generation of sneakerheads that weren’t accustomed to waiting in long lines for MJ’s first signature sneaker. In fact, the entire collaboration plays off of the fact that the Air Jordan 1 was a fairly prolific skate shoe in the 80s for it’s similar construction to the Nike Dunk High. While three collaborations with the silhouette will occur in total, today we get a detailed look at the first installment featuring an iridescent upper in a green/copper look and custom text by designer Craig Stecyk. Set for a release date of March 15th, 2014, the shoe keeps thing subtle enough and true enough to form to showcase a unique and unheralded history between two brands that will surely have people lining up to grab a pair. Will you be one of those people? Hit the click for a better look.
