Looking at the current slate of Air Jordan Retros for 2014 can get a little overwhelming, but luckily that’s what our Jordans Release Date page is for. And while the Jumpman’s main focus looks to be on the Air Jordan 10 early on only to transition to the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 14 in the later months of the year, today we get a look at the one and only (so far) Air Jordan 9 “Birmingham Barons”. The shoes seek out a classic white-black-grey look in a nod to MJ’s decision to hang up his sneakers early in lieu of something more fitting for the baseball diamond. The Air Jordan 9 keeps things subtle with a white base while black lingers around the midsole and tongue to contrast, and Jordan Brand even winks at Mike’s time with the White Sox affiliated AA squad in the Birmingham Barons by dressing the inner lining of the shoe in a pinstripe pattern.
