When Jordan laced up his Air Jordan XIIIs in 1997, they signified a transition from basketball to business every time he wore them. Although he was still chasing his sixth championship on the court, the Jumpman had entered a new stage where it had become its own brand. Today we get to see a rare sample from 1997 in the form of this Air Jordan 13 GS mock up. It’s rare enough to see original samples, but in a kids size that wasn’t seen on an adult model means even then, JB was thinking about how to garner interest in their younger fans. Featuring a white upper, this sample doesn’t even have the holographic Panther inspired eye installed. The midsole features red detailing while the toe box and tongue are hit with a grey. Head to the galler for a full look at this rare sample and bid on it today from footageberkeley on eBay.
