Following the gold medal victory in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, USA Basketball has fallen on dark times. The most notable of Team USA’s blunders was the sixth place finish at the 2002 FIBA Americas Tournament in Indianapolis. With one last shot to qualify for the 2004 Olympics, USA Basketball put together a team for the tournament in 2003 and luckily for them they finished undefeated and guaranteed their place in Athens. Mike Bibby was a member of that 2003 team and during that run he wore this special Team USA Air Jordan IX Low. The color blocking is rather simple with a white upper and red accents found on the heel tab.
